It’s important to note that like every product, infrared panels have their pros and cons. Let’s take a look at them!

Cost-Effective:
The primary advantage of infrared panels is that their installation is simple and cost-effective. It doesn’t involve tearing down half the house, nor is it particularly noisy or dirty. Additionally, installation doesn’t take long, especially if the site is properly prepared. Just a few professionals and a few hours are needed, and the infrared panel is in place! This heating technology is cost-effective when powered by a solar panel system, but if not, the electricity bill can increase.
Installability:
This heating system can be installed almost anywhere there is enough space and with nearby electrical power. The best effect is achieved if the infrared panel is mounted on the ceiling, but it can also be installed on a side wall.
Heat Sensation:
Infrared panels work quickly and efficiently, with a noticeable temperature change almost immediately after turning on. A benefit is that different rooms can be heated independently from each other, and heat is less likely to escape through windows since it heats the objects in the room, not the air.
Durability of Warm Surfaces:
A downside of this heating technology is the warmth of the infrared panel’s surface. Therefore, if there are small children or pets in the house, it’s not advisable to use the wall-mounted version. Additionally, these heating surfaces only provide heat when turned on. Also, power outages should be considered, which is why infrared panels are usually used as supplementary heating.
Appearance:
For many people, the design of their spaces is very important. Therefore, the use of infrared panels might be a disadvantage for them, as the panels should not be covered or hidden behind anything due to their warm surface.
